Organizing Your Family

We all know having a home organized allows us to spend more time doing the things they want to do. For me it is more time to quilt, for others it may be gardening, exercise, cooking, working on a hobby, or spend more time with his family. How do we go about getting organized our family?

Remember the movie "Field of Dreams"? Build it and they will come. It's the same scenario with the organization. Start by organizing the drawers, closets, bedrooms, closets, have designated places for all - in which we live and sufficiently confident things will find their way back to their homes. Family member is the best when they know that things belong. Label drawers or shelves to make it easier to put things and find later.

Share responsibilities with everyone. Write a simple contract with each family member and have them sign it. This is their commitment and most likely to go ahead with the tasks assigned. Put over contracts with the task assigned to a folder that is labeled and placed on a shelf were all able to access it. I do not like to call them tasks only because the name sounds like monotony.

Keep tasks appropriate to the age and ability. Start young organization of education. Two years younger, and may even begin to put a book on a shelf or a toy in the box of toys. Starting with youth makes it much easier because it becomes a way of life for which they are organized.

Picking raspberries I remember when I was a kid. My mother was picked up on the other side of the row. It's hot and exhausting picking up one or two berries at the time and place in my bucket tied around my waist. Once in a while my mom would come through the line and put a hand full of berries in my cube. Wow, it's a great feeling to see my cube faster more complete than I did return to work and all work faster.

Show the children how to do the task assigned. Throughout the work with them until they know what is expected. Once in a while in the chip and help them once they are able to do it on their own. This is a great incentive for them and they correspond to help you stay organized, or by one of its tasks.

The graphics are wonderful tools to inspire children and show them not only what to do but show their progress. Rotate tasks on a weekly basis. There are many letters that can be purchased to chart their progress. Or use a dry erase board, make a paper using stickers when you finish a job, or use a magnet board. Indicate what a good job they are doing and how good it feels to be organized.

Make fun of the organization, which does not have to be a task. Make organize interesting that all the input and ideas on the best way of doing things and use their ideas, to have a sense of pride and ownership on how to do things.

Notice that a family member is organized and are based on force by praising them. We are all good at doing some things. By focusing on the positive and encouraging them to become organized, strong will in other areas or regaƱaba without getting angry.

Motivating family members can be difficult at first, but it is rewarding when you put things back where they belong and that takes much of the frustration of what might happen daily annoyances. Not to mention all the time it saves.
